Vietnam attends Asia’s biggest food, hospitality show in Singapore

Vietnamese enterprises operating in the fields of food and hospitality are attending the Food & Hotel Asia (FHA) 2018 which is taking place in Singapore from April 24-27.

Singapore (VNA) – Vietnamese enterprises operating in the fields offood and hospitality are attending the Food & Hotel Asia (FHA) 2018 whichis taking place in Singapore from April 24-27.

Through 40 years of development, FHA has grown tremendouslyin tandem with Asia’s food and hospitality industry, and has earned itself areputation as the most comprehensive premier international food and hospitalitytrade show in the region.

This year’s event attracts over 4,000 businesses from morethan 70 nations and territories.

Around 50,000 enterprises have registered to visit and signcontracts during the tradeshow, according to the organising board.

Tran Thu Quynh, Trade Counselor at the Vietnamese Embassy inSingapore, said that together with several businesses which have exportactivities and commercial presence abroad like TH True Milk, Co May and TrungNguyen Coffee, the trade office prioritises introducing small- and medium-sizedstartups in intensive agricultural processing, especially in coffee, cocoa,cashew nut, fruits, rice and seafood.

Especially, the office will help connect Vietnameseenterprises with others through the Vietnam Food Pavilion.

Ho Si Bao, Director of the Amazon Vietnam Food Company, saidthat this tradeshow offers a good chance for participating companies tointroduce products and learn about international taste to build an appropriatemarketing strategy so as to increase exports.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
