Vietnam attends Colombo Plan celebration fair

The Vietnamese Embassy in Sri Lanka has attended an international fair at the headquarters of the Colombo Plan, as part of activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Colombo Plan.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Sri Lanka has attended an internationalfair at the headquarters of the Colombo Plan, as part of activities tocelebrate the 60th anniversary of the Colombo Plan.

The fair attracted the participation of other Colombo Plan membercountry embassies, including Australia , Afghanistan, Indonesia,Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, the Philippines and Thailand aswell as some Sri Lankan companies.

The Vietnamese Embassy displayed products featuring the national culture, such as porcelain, coffee and souvenirs.

On the occasion, it also distributed numerous documents, cultural andtourism publications with the aim of promoting images of the country,culture and people of Vietnam , the friendly traditional relationsbetween Vietnam and Sri Lanka as well as effective cooperationbetween Vietnam and the Colombo Plan.
Established inSri Lanka on July 1, 1951, the Colombo Plan was a regionalorganisation working to promote South-South cooperation. The primaryfocus of all Colombo Plan activities is on human resourcesdevelopment./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
