Australiawon the mixed doubles event with Leanne Choo and Robin Middletonbeating Duong Bao Duc and Thai Thi Hong Gam 21-14, 21-16.
Vietnamfought back winning both men's and women's singles matches thanks toNguyen Tien Minh and Vu Thi Trang, leading national athletes. Minh won21-9, 21-10 over Daniel Guda and Trang defeated Joy Lai 21-12, 21-7.
The Aussies then levelled the result when Choo andGronya Somerville beat Trang and Nguyen Thi Sen 21-18, 21-18 in thewomen's doubles event.
In the decisive men's doublesmatch, the Vietnamese successfully took the day. Dao Manh Thang and LeHa Anh won 21-16, 17-21, 21-12 in a 43-minute match.
Vietnam in Group 3B and the Czech team, who topped Group 3A, will have playoffs on late May 15 for a place in Group 2.
TheSudirman Cup 2015 includes 35 teams, of which the top 12 compete forthe championship title and 23 remaining are divided into groups 2, 3 or 4based on their history.
