Vietnam begins new term as member of United Nations Security Council

The flag-laying ceremony of 5 UNSC’s new non-permanent members term 2020-2021 (including Estonia, Niger, Saint Vincent and Grenadines, Tunisia and Vietnam) had been solemnly held in front of UNSC’s meeting room.
On January 2nd, at Headquarters of United Nations in New York Vietnam had launched official acts as the President of United Nations Security Council, beginning a new term being a member of UNSC in 2020-2021.
The flag-laying ceremony of 5 UNSC’s new non-permanent members term 2020-2021 (including Estonia, Niger, Saint Vincent and Grenadines, Tunisia and Vietnam) had been solemnly held in front of UNSC’s meeting room. Vietnam took over the position of President of the United Nations Security Council during a meaningful time. This was the first month of celebrating 75 years founding of the United Nations as well as 75 years of signing the Charter of the United Nations.
