Vietnamese and Cambodian naval forces have conducted their 46th joint annual joint patrol.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese and Cambodian navalforces have conducted their 46th joint annual joint patrol.

During the patrol, the two sides coordinated in preventing illegal activitiesin the joint patrol maritime areas as well as marine environment protection.

They collaborated in sharing information, combating smuggling,drug transportation and illegal migration, preventing weapon and explosivestrading, raiding pirates and conducting rescue activities at sea.

The two sides also exercised in checking strange vessels, usingsignals of hand flags and light, as well as organising exchange activities atsea.

The success of the joint patrol has contributed to themaintenance of peaceful and stable environment in the historic waters ofVietnam and Cambodia.

On March 21, naval ship 251 of Zone 5 of the Vietnam People’s Navy to the jointpatrol docked in the military port of Zone 5, concluding the 46th annual jointpatrol with Royal Cambodian Navy.-VNA
