The Hague (VNA) – VietnameseAmbassador to the Netherlands Ngo Thi Hoa on September 29 chaired a regularmeeting of the ASEAN Committee in The Hague (ACTH).
At the outset of the meeting,ASEAN ambassadors once again expressed their condolences over the passing ofVietnamese President Tran Dai Quang. Hoa thanked the ambassadors for theirtribute to the Vietnamese leader.
The participants discussed theACTH’s upcoming activities, including a working visit to Simwave group, and ameeting between ASEAN, Asian ambassadors and the Dutch Minister of Infrastructureand Water Management in October. The ACTH members also plan to attend a talk onEU-ASEM (Asia–Europe Meeting) in November.
Regional and international issuesof common interest were also tabled at the ACTH’s regular meeting.
Concluding the meeting,Ambassador Hoa handed over the rotating chairmanship of the ACTH to ThaiAmbassador Eksiri Pintaruchi.
The ambassadors praised theVietnamese diplomat’s performance in her role as chair of the ACTH from Aprilto September this year.
Hoa thanked her colleagues’ support andcooperation and pledged to join them in assisting the next chair of the ACTH.-VNA
