Vietnam, China up cooperation in theoretical issues

Senior Vietnamese and Chinese officials have stressed the need to further enhance cooperation in theoretical issues between the Communist Parties of the two countries in the coming time.

It was set outat talks in Beijing, China on July 26 between head of the CommunistParty of China (CPC) Central Committee’s Propaganda Department Liu Qibaoand head of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’sCommission for Popularisation and Education Dinh The Huynh, who will bein Dalian city, Liaoning province from July 27-29 to attend the 9th theory workshop.

They also agreed to cement exchanges andcooperation between the two sides and media outlets to enhanceunderstanding, mutual trust and friendship between the two peoples.

Huynh, who is also Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, metwith First Secretary of the C PC Central Committee Secretariat LiuYunshan. He underlined that the CPV, State and people of Vietnam alwaysattach importance to strengthening and developing ties with China.

He said he believes the strengthening of friendship, improvedefficiency of equal and mutually beneficial cooperation in variousrealms, and proper settlement of existing and emerging issues followingthe spirit set out in joint statements and documents signed during CPVGeneral Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Truong Tan Sang’svisits will further drive Vietnam-China ties forward.

LiuYunshan made it clear that the Party and Government of China treasurethe comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with Vietnam.

He said he believes the upcoming workshop will help enrich theoreticalissues regarding Party building, including the working manners of Partyofficials and the fight against corruption in each nation.

According to him, experience sharing is essential to the development of socialism in each country.

During the visit, head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission forExternal Relations Hoang Binh Quan worked with Director of the CPCCentral Committee’s International Department on ways to advance futurelinks between the two Parties.-VNA
