Vietnam continues to increase retirement age from 2022

Vietnam will continue to increase the retirement age from January 1, 2022 in line with the Labour Code 2019.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam will continue toincrease the retirement age from January 1, 2022 in line with the Labour Code 2019.

Accordingly, men will retire at 60 years and sixmonths, and women at 55 years and eight months from next year, up three monthsand four months from the retirement ages in 2021, respectively.

Labourers can retire up to five-10 years earlier than the said-above ages basedon certain conditions like working in a dangerous environment or extremely disadvantaged areas.

The retirement age will be further adjusted until itreaches 62 for men and 60 for women in 2028.

Among the new policies to be effective from January nextyear is Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP that amends Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP on petroleumtrading, stipulating that petrol prices will be reviewed every 10 days, ascompared with 15 days previously./.
