Wellington (VNA) –🌟 TheVietnamese Students’ Association in Victoria University of Wellington recentlyheld the “Vietnam Day 2017” in New Zealand’s capital city of Wellington.

This year, the event was organised outdoorfor the first time at the Cuba Street in the centre of Wellington, with thetheme “V-District: A Step to Vietnam”. It featured performances of Vietnamesestudents in Wellington and children from Vietnamese language courses. Traditionaldishes of Vietnam were also served at the event. The cultural exchange event is heldannually in Wellington by the Vietnamese Students’ Association in Wellington(VSAW), with support of the Embassy of Vietnam and the Vietnamese community inWellington. It aims to promote images ofVietnam’s people, culture and cuisine to local people and internationalstudents in New Zealand.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
