Vietnam, Denmark step up cooperation in food, green growth

🐬 - Denmark will send experts in food and environment to work in its embassy in Vietnam, Danish Minister of Environment and Food Eva Kjet Hansen told reporters in Hanoi on November 9.

She said the two countries need to coordinate to produce high-quality food and agricultural products, meeting the increasing demands of Vietnamese consumers and exporters.
Regarding Vietnam’s decision to become the eighth core member of the Global Green Growth Forum led by Denmark and the Republic of Korea, the she said she believed that Vietnam will play an active role in the forum. At the press conference, the Danish minister highlighted the impressive growth in trade between two nations in 2015, which shot up 57 percent from 2014. She hoped for the further development of Denmark’s investment and business operation in Vietnam.
During her stay in Vietnam, she met with Vietnamese officials, discussing bilateral trade relations between two countries and new initiative to increase standards of food safety and environment in Vietnam. The same day, the Danish Minister had talks with Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Minh Quang. On this occasion, a number of documents on cooperation in agriculture and green growth between the two sides were signed. -VNA
