Vietnam’s football team is 145 th in FIFA rankings in May, one step down from last month, according to the Vietnam Football Federation.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam’s football team is 145 th in FIFA rankings in May, one step down from last month, according to t💯he Vietnam Football Federation.

Regionally, the country maintained its position as 23rd in Asia and third in the Southeast Asian region.
It was not a surprise as the national team has not played any significant match since March. In Southeast Asia, the Philippines led the rankings, followed by Thailand . Laos made the greatest advance, jumping six places to 176 th .
Meanwhile, Iran came first in Asia, followed by Australia, and the Republic of Korea. Syria, the competitor of the Vietnamese team in a friendly match scheduled to be held on May 31, was ranked 110th globally and 14th in Asia . The world rankings still saw Argentina topping, followed by Belgium and Chile.-VNA
