Vietnam Expo 2015 opens in Hanoi

The 25th Vietnam Expo 2015 kicked off on April 15 in Hanoi as witnessed by Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai and representatives from the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

Eventparticipants include more than 600 exhibitors from over 28 countries andterritories worldwide showcasing 720 booths, 312 of which from localfirms including Hanoi Trade Corporation (Hapro) and the VietnamElectrical Equipment Joint Stock Corporation (GELEX).

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Trade andIndustry Do Thang Hai said the event aims to create opportunities forbusinesses to partner with both domestic and international enterprisesto improve export growth and attract foreign investment.

Themed “Cooperation towards the ASEAN Economic Community”, the eventcontributes to the export growth of domestic businesses into markets inthe region and the world, according to Bui Huy Son, Director of theMinistry’s Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETTRADE).

The Vietnam Expo 2015 presents practical opportunities for Vietnamesebusinesses to fully tap the potential of free trade agreements (FTA) tobe signed this year, Son said.

It also servesas a bridge to connect producers with investors, boosting trade exchangeand accelerating contract signings and export, Son added.

The event, co-hosted by the VIETTRADE, Vinexad Advertising JointStock Company and Informa Exhibitions, will run through April 18.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
