New Delhi (VNA) – Seven Vietnamese enterprises are showcasing theirproducts at Vibrant Tamil Nadu - Global Expo & Summit 2018 in the Indian stateof Tamil Nadu, which runs from August 12-15.
The food andbeverage expo also features nearly 200 Indian firms and representatives from 29other nations.
Several workshopson food, processed food and beverages and measures to boost the sector’sdevelopment have been held at the event, along with meetings betweenparticipating firms and state authorities.
The Vietnameseenterprises discussed the possibility of signing some memoranda ofunderstanding on cooperation in food production and processing and oninvestment in industrial zones with Indian partners.
Bui Trung Thuong, Chiefof the Vietnam Trade Office in India, briefed Indian partners on Vietnam-Indiaeconomic and trade ties, the prospects of the Vietnamese food sector andopportunities for the two countries’ businesses.
India ranks 27thamong 126 countries and territories investing in Vietnam with nearly 200projects worth about 875 million USD. Last year, two-way trade reached 7.63billion USD, with the figure expected to hit 15 billion USD in 2020.-VNA
