HCM City (VNA) - Young women and men from across the country areencouraged to take part in the second Vietnam Fitness Model 2017, a nationalevent featuring fitness enthusiasts.
The contest is organised by Blue Sky Vietnam andNgoi Sao Moi, two of the region’s leading agencies in entertainment and fashionmodelling.
The contest is open to single people aged 18 to30 who are at least 1.70m tall (for men) and 1.60m (for women).
The jury includes Miss Vietnam Ocean 2014 DangThu Thao and experts from the Vietnam Federation of Weightlifting and HCM CityWeightlifting & Bodybuilding Federation.
Thirty-six candidates will be selected for thefinal round in September in HCM City.
At the semifinals to be held in early July in Hanoi,Da Nang, Can Tho and HCM City, the contestants will compete in the categoriesof fitness performance, sports talent, swimsuits and question-and-answersessions.
They will also take part in social and charityactivities to encourage the public, particularly youth, to maintain good healthby doing sports.
The winners of Vietnam Fitness Model 2016, TonTuyen and Manh Kien, will lead contestants during the contest’s selective andsemifinal rounds.
Kien has returned home after winning a goldenmedal for Mr Physique and a bronze medal for Men Sport Model under age 24 atthe Nabba WFF in Singapore in May.
Tuyen has been invited to join the Miss Asia inIndia in August.
This year’s event has total prize of 590million VND (over 26,000 USD), of which the two first prize winners will takehome a 100 million VND prize (4,500 USD) each.
Selective rounds will begin on July 1 in Hanoiand HCM City.
