Vietnam hopes for stronger health care cooperation with Japan

Vietnam looks to solidify the extensive strategic partnership withJapan across trade, investment, health care and nursing, he told theguest, saying that it is one of the top priorities in the country’sdiplomatic policy.

Japan is currently among theleading investors and trade partners of Vietnam and the largest donor ofofficial development assistance to Vietnam, he said.

He asked the guest to help with the implementation of economic dealsbetween Japan and Vietnam, including those covering the sending ofVietnamese nurses to Japan and ODA provision.

Onbehalf of the Vietnamese Government, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Damoffered condolences to Japan over the brutal killings of Japanesehostages by the self-claimed Islamic State.

“Vietnam strongly condemns all brutal and inhumane actions againstinnocent civilians and supports efforts of the international communityin fighting against terrorism in any form as well as extremistviolence,” he said.

The Chairman of Japan’s LowerHouse Committee on Rules and Administration said he hopes the VietnameseGovernment will continue creating favourable conditions for Japanesefirms operating in Vietnam. He also called for speeding up theimplementation of the Vietnam – Japan Joint Initiative to Improve theBusiness Environment in Vietnam.-VNA
