Vietnam – Hungary traditional friendship, cooperation
Vietnam and Hungary have been enjoying sound friendship and diplomatic ties. Bilateral relations have recorded positive development which creates a solid foundation to bolster growth in many fields.
A delegation of the Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam has paid a working visit to Hungary during which they held talks with Hungarian agencies, agreeing to step up cooperation in specialised training and applying IT in legal procedures.
The fourth summer camp of Vietnamese youth in Europe (Duna Camp) opened in Budapest capital city of Hungary on August 17 (local time), with the participation of 150 Vietnamese students in 19 European countries.
The Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organisations and the municipal chapter of the Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association (VHFA) held a gathering on August 20 to celebrate the National Day of Hungary (August 20).
General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV)’s Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong will pay an official visit to Hungary from September 8-11 at the invitation of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

The UN Secretary-General praised Vietnam’s remarkable achievements in socio-economic development and international integration in recent years, noting that the country has emerged as a model in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting international peace and security, and engaging in key UN processes.

The show, together with a grand parade to be held silmutaneously at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, the National Day, and the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA).
In particular, in April 2023, the two sides successfully carried out a joint operation that dismantled a major organised, transnational drug trafficking ring involving both Vietnamese and Cambodian suspects.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel is closely coordinating with relevant local agencies to stay informed and provide the utmost support possible for Vietnamese nationals.
