Vietnam in top 10 at Asia-Pacific Mathematical Olympiad

Vietnamese students won two gold medals at the 2013 Asia-Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (APMOPS) that took place in Singapore on June 1, earning Vietnam a place in the top ten nations for the first time.

Among the ten Vietnamese candidatesat the competition, Hanoi students Nguyen Nga Nhi and Nguyen Dang Khoiranked fourth and ninth in the region respectively.

The ten students were selected from 482 contestants who participated in the Olympiad’s first round in Vietnam .

APMOPS is a prestigious contest held annually by Hwa ChongAcademy in Singapore for Year 6 and 7 pupils from the Asia-Pacificregion.-VNA
