Vietnam, India intensify chemical trade

A trade exchange and chemical exhibition got underway in Ho Chi Minh City on January 23 to boost chemical trade ties between Vietnam and India.
A trade exchange and chemical exhibition got underway in Ho Chi MinhCity on January 23 to boost chemical trade ties between Vietnam andIndia.

The two-day event is jointly organised bythe Indian Consulate General in Vietnam, the office of VietnamChamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in Ho Chi Minh City, andIndia’s Basic Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics ExportPromotion Council (CHEMEXCIL).

With 52 boothsdisplaying organic and inorganic chemical products, includingpesticides, cosmetics, dyes and pastels, the event aims to increasechemical exports, consolidate business ties, speed up cooperation andexpand Indian business operations in Vietnam.

India is among Vietnam’s top ten leading trade partners, withtwo-way trade turnover of 4 billion USD in 2012. India is Vietnam’ssecond largest chemical supplier, exporting 213.2 million USD of goodsto Vietnam in the first 11 months of 2012.-VNA

෴ Maximum fine of 3,000 USD proposed for violating invoice regulations

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
