Paris (VNA) – The Vietnam Innovation Network inEurope (VINEU) officially launched its operations in France at a ceremony heldin Paris on December 10.

Introduced in November 2021, VINEU is one of the eight globalnetworks supported by the Ministry of Planning and Investment’s NationalInnovation Centre (NIC). It has a mission to gather Vietnamese knowledge inEurope and collaboratively provide sustainable solutions to challenges faced byVietnam.

At the ceremony, VINEU President Pham Huy Hoang highlightedthe significance of deploying activities in France, where many experts with extensive experience are actively working at researchand educational institutes or major corporations and companies.

Delegates highlighted the importance of the network inmaintaining relevant parties’ exchanges, interactions, coordination, andengagement in specific projects that align with Vietnam’s needs. This approachaims to gather intellect and expertise from the Vietnamese diaspora in relatedfields to find suitable and cohesive deployment solutions.

Minister Counsellor of the Vietnamese Embassy in France Pham Thi Kim Yen expressed her hope thatVINEU will effectively leverage the resources of the Vietnamese intellectualcommunity in Europe, especially France, serving the development of themotherland. She also pledged the embassy’s consistent support for meaningfulactivities for the homeland./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
