Two-way trade between Vietnam and Italy is expected to reach 3.3billion USD in 2013, according to the Vietnamese Trade Counsellor inItaly.
Vietnam ’s export value to Italy is estimatedat 2.2 billion UDS while importing 1.1 billion USD worth of goods fromthe country.
Export products to Italy include telephones,footwear, clothes, coffee, and seafood products while machines,equipments, animal food, textile materials, leather and pharmaceuticalproducts are imported from Italy.
Up to date, Italia has 49valid investment projects in Vietnam with a total registered capitalof 257.2 million USD, ranking 29 th among 101 countries and territoriesinvesting in Vietnam.
The projects focus on major areas of processing, agro-forestry and fisheries, wholesale and retail sectors.
