Vietnam-Laos youths boost cooperation

The Vietnamese delegationheld talks with a delegation from the Lao People’s Revolutionary YouthUnion, led by Secretary Vilayvong Bouddakham, on Jan. 11.

At the talks, the two sides exchanged information and experiences onyouth education and youth-related work, affirming and agreed to continueto cooperate and support each other in regional and international youthactivities. They will also hold meetings for the two countries’ youthsand organise training courses for officials of the Lao Youth Union.

The two sides will also cooperate to hasten the draft of theVietnam-Laos Youth Friendship Palace project in Vientiane andthe Vietnam-Laos Youth Friendship Village in the Lao borderprovince of Bolikhamsay , to submit to the two countries’Governments. The youth unions pledged to create conditions for theirbusiness arms and young businessmen to establish cooperative ties.

The two sides signed a cooperative agreement for the 2012-2017 term after the talks./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
