– Cutting-edge medical and pharmaceutical technologies and productsare on display at the 26th Vietnam Medi-Pharm Expo, which opened in Hanoi onMay 8.

Thefour-day exhibition offers an opportunity for investors to study the businessenvironment and legal regulations in Vietnam, as well as serves as a venue forthe industry’s insiders to exchange experience.

Inhis opening remarks, Deputy Minister of Health Truong Quoc Cuong said theVietnamese health ministry wishes to create an equal, healthy, stable, and competitivebusiness environment.

Heurged pharmaceutical producers and businesses, and those operating in medicalequipment at home and abroad to set up partnerships, thus contributing todeveloping bilateral and multilateral cooperation in this field.

Theexpo accommodates 550 booths by 450 businesses from many countries andterritories like India, Poland, Bangladesh, Belgium, the Czech Republic,Germany, Taiwan (China), the Netherlands, the Republic of Korea, the US, andhost Vietnam, among others.

Withinthe framework of the expo, there will be a symposium and an exhibition onpreventative medicine and a workshopon immunotherapy and stem cells for the treatment of cancer and diabetes, alongwith other sideline events. –VNA

Health sector calls on people to donate blood

During the peak months of July and August 2025, the National Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion (NIHBT) needs at least 90,000 units of blood to supply 180 hospitals in the northern region. However, despite continuous efforts, the reserve blood is still short of 30,000 units.

🍨 Vietnam looks to expand telehealth to improve access for remote communities

Over the past six months, 150 communal health stations in provinces including Ha Giang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Yen Bai, Tay Ninh, Hau Giang, Ben Tre and Ca Mau have been equipped with information technology systems. In addition, 117 key provincial healthcare workers have received training, with thousands more expected to follow.
