HCM City (VNA) - The Vietnam MotorcycleShow 2017 opened in Ho Chi Minh City on May 4 with big names in the industry fromhome and abroad attending.

The exhibition, the second edition, is being heldwith numerous challenges facing domestic manufacturers and importers. 

A wide range of models from commercial and sportbikes to motors were showcased at the exhibition.

A number of activities were also held during theevent, including driving games and a freestyle motorcross performance byJapanese athletes, funded by Yamaha.

The event also gathered 55 trademarks of supportindustries and spare part providers as well as relevant industries, includingforeign brands including Motul, Michelin, Caltex, Total, Nissin and Quik Fix.

The exhibition is open until May 7.

According to the Vietnam Association ofMotorcycle Manufacturers, last year, automatic motorcycles accounted for 45percent of total sales.

Vietnam’s motorcycle market is expected tocontinue growing in 2017, the association added.-VNA

💦 Maximum fine of 3,000 USD proposed for violating invoice regulations

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
