Hanoi (VNA) –Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Sen. Lt. Gen.Pham Ngoc Minh had a meeting with Lt. Gen. Tin Maung Win, Chief of Staff of theBureau of Air Defence of Myanmar, in Hanoi on April 5.

Sen. Lt. Gen. Minhhighlighted the sound friendship between Vietnam and Myanmar, noting that theties between the two countries’ armed forces have been constantly strengthenedover the past years.

He affirmed that the GeneralStaff of the Vietnam People’s Army always creates favourable conditions for relevantagencies of the two sides to foster their cooperation to serve defence-securityprotection of each country, contributing to strengthening mutual understandingand solidarity between the armies of both countries.

For his part, Lt. Gen.Tin Maung Win briefed his host on results of his working sessions withVietnam’s Defence Ministry agencies.

He expressed his hopethat the defence partnership between Myanmar and Vietnam will continue growingin an effective manner in the coming time.-VNA
