Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam has been honoured withfour important prizes, inclu⛄ding Asia’s Leading CulinaryDestination, at the 26th World Travel Awards (WTA).

TheWorld Travel Awards Asia and Oceania 2019 was organised on PhuQuoc Island, apopular tourist destination off the southern Vietnamese province of KienGiang,on October 13. Thisis the third time the event has taken place in Vietnam. It was previouslyheld in the central city of Da Nang in 2016 and Phu Quoc Island in 2017. Atthis year’s ceremony, Vietnam was honoured with the title of Asia’s LeadingDestination for the second year in a row, together with the Asia’s LeadingCultural Destination award. HoiAn, a tourist city in the central province of Quang Nam and home to Hoi AnAncient Town – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was named Asia's Leading CulturalCity Destination. The World Travel Awards wasestablished in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across allkey sectors of the travel, tourist and hospitality industries./.
