Hanoi (VNA) – Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung has approved amission to make a plan on fundamental geological survey of minerals during2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

The task’s target is to complete the plan with high qualityand feasibility and in accordance with existing regulations.

The plan will focus on analyzing and assessing the naturalconditions and status quo of the fundamental geological survey of minerals, aswell as the socio-economic development policies and orientations related to thesurvey, environmental protection and other plans involved in the survey.

The planning process should pay attention to orientations onprotecting the environment, preventing natural disasters and responding toclimate change.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment isresponsible for chairing and coordinating with relevant ministries, sectors,localities, offices and organisations to make the plan./.

In 2019, Quang Ninh became one of the first localities in Vietnam to launch a province-wide campaign against plastic waste, mobilising the participation of the political system, the business sector, and the general public. Other localities—such as Hai Phong, Da Nang, Binh Duong, and Ho Chi Minh City—have also effectively implemented waste-sorting initiatives at source, along with models for plastic-free markets and urban areas.
