Vietnam presents 10,000 medical face masks to Azerbaijan people
The Vietnam-Azerbaijan Friendship Association on April 28 presented 10,000 medical face masks to help people in Azerbaijan fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hanoi, (VNA)🅺 – The Vietnam-Azerbaijan Friendship Associationon April 28 presented 10,000 medical face masks to help people in Azerbaijan fightthe COVID-19 pandemic.
At the handover ceremony at the Azerbaijan Embassy in Hanoi,Chairman of the friendship association Nghiem Vu Khai said the gift comes fromthe heart of former Vietnamese students in Azerbaijan, who want to share thedifficulties with the Azerbaijan people.
🎀 He added that the association on April 26 collected 25 million VND (more than 1,000 USD) to helpthree Azerbaijan citizens who lost their jobs in Vietnam’s Phu Quoc islandunder the impact of the COVID-19.
Azerbaijan Ambassador toVietnam Anar Imanov thanked the Vietnamese people in general and the Vietnam-AzerbaijanFriendship Association in particular for the meaningful present. He expressedhis belief that the two countries will overcome difficulties and reap successin the fight against the epidemic./.
German and European media have reported high appreciation for Vietnam's donation of face masks to European countries to help them fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mayor of the German city of Liepzig Burkhard Jung has offered thanks to Vietnamese partners for their medical support for St. George Hospital in the COVID-19 fight, stressing the importance of long-standing international cooperation amidst crises.
Despite its limited resources, Vietnam has supported many other nations worldwide in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, proving itself as a responsible member of the international community, especially when the country is holding the ASEAN Chairmanship 2020.
