Vietnam logged an additional 582 COVID-19 cases on October 21, according to the Ministry of Health.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam logged an additional582 COVID-19 cases on October 21, according to the Ministry of Health.

The new cases lifted the country’s total infections to11,496,354.

The same day, 356 patients were declared to be freefrom coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, raising the total number of recoveries to10,600,580.

Meanwhile, the death toll was kept at 43,159 as nofatality was reported on the day.

The country has so far administered more than 261.05 million dosesof COVID-19 vaccines./.

Legislators mull over bill on state of emerg🐼ency

Based on the developments of disasters, epidemics, national defence and security conditions, and public order and safety, and upon proposals from relevant ministries or provincial-level People’s Committee chairpersons, the Prime Minister may request the NA Standing Committee to declare a state of emergency, according to a draft law.
