Vietnam resolutely fights corruption: FM spokesperson

Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnamese Party, State and government advocatedeterminedly fighting and dealing with wrongdoings and corruption cases, ForeignMinistry’s spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang said.
She made the statement when answering the settlement of recent wrongdoings and corruptioncases during the ministry’s regular press conference in Hanoi on September 21.
Strict punishments will be given to law violators in conformity with thecountry’s law, the spokesperson stressed.
Hang statedthat that stance has repeatedly been mentioned by Vietnamese leaders and publishedby the press many times.-VNA
The High-Level People’s Court in Hanoi on August 17 began to hear the appeals of four defendants in a major corruption case at the Vinashin Ocean Shipping Company Ltd (Vinashinlines).
