Addressing the event, Deputy Minister ofCulture, Sports and Tourism Ho Anh Tuan said copyrights and relatedrights are playing an increasingly important role as they encouragepeople’s creativity and spur their advancement for each country’ssocio-economic and cultural development.
Jointlyheld by the Copyright Office of Vietnam and the Office of the Republicof Korea’s (RoK) Copyright Committee, the conference focused on legalcopyright regulations and policies; effective operations of collectivemanagement organisations; copyright cooperation between the twocountries; and developing the creative industry.
In2014, the Vietnam Literature Copyright Centre under the Vietnam Writers’Association and the RoK Society of Authors (KOSA) inked a cooperationagreement in Hanoi to increase bilateral cooperation on literarycopyright protection and relevant rights.
Accordingly, the two sides pledged to offer one another support toprotect copyrights, deal with copyright-related issues and shareinformation on maintaining authority.
Vietnam has joined a seriesof international conventions on intellectual property, like the 1971Bern Convention, the 1961 Pome Convention, the 1974 Brussels Conventionsand the 1994 TRIP agreement.-VNA

At a review conference held on June 21, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh praised the province’s scientific, coordinated, and flexible approach. He noted that the early completion reflects the strong commitment of local authorities, the business community, philanthropists, and residents in improving housing conditions for disadvantaged groups.
The VNA delegation, led by General Director Vu Viet Trang, actively participated in the event, engaging in both professional and diplomatic activities.
