Vietnam, RoK to host business forum this week

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) will host the Vietnam-Korea Business Forum on July 8.
Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce andIndustry (VCCI) and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) will hostthe Vietnam-Korea Business Forum on July 8.

Themed “Cooperation for a sustainable future,” the event willfocus on information technology, electricity and renewable energy, educationand smart city development.

It will be held via video teleconference and livestreamedon YouTube.

The Republic of Korea has remained Vietnam’s top investorand trade partner for years.

The RoK is the biggest investor of Vietnam, which nowoperates nearly 9,000 FDI projects worth a total of around 70.4 billion USD,accounting for 18.5 percent of the Southeast Asian country’s FDI inflows, as ofthe end of 2020. It is also Vietnam’s third largest trade partner.

The forum is expected to provide a chance for Vietnamesecompanies, especially small- and medium-sized enterprises, to explore and seek businessopportunities in the RoK market./.
