Vietnam, South Africa boost communication cooperation

Pretoria (VNA) – A Vietnamese delegation led by Permanent Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for External Information Serviceꦗ Pham Van Linh paid a working visit to South Africa from April 24-29, to strengthen links in communication b⛦etween the two countries.

The delegation had working sessions with representatives from South Africa’s Ministry of Information and Communications, the ruling African National Congress ( ANC ), and the South African Communist Party (SACP).
Linh briefed the hosts on Vietnam’s recent socio-economic development and the success of the 12 th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV). He suggested the two countries continue mutual support at regional and international forums, and promote international law for peace, stability and development in the region and the world. Representatives from the ANC and the SACP highlighted the significance of the visit, saying that it contributes to promoting cooperation in communication as well as relations between the countries and between their respective parties and the CPV.
The ANC affirmed it attaches importance to developing traditional friendship with Vietnam. The hosts also expressed their admiration for Vietnam’s development achievements in every aspect, especially the country’s efforts in realising Millennium Development Goals and international integration. The ANC National Communications Manager Keith Khoza hailed Vietnam’s communication achievements, saying that he hopes the ANC and the Vietnamese committee will step up delegation exchange, share experience in and further boost connection in communication, professional training and publishing.-VNA
