Vietnamese students staged a performance opening an outdoor musical event in Sochi, Russia, on October 20, as part of the ongoing 19th World Festival of Youth and Students.

Moscow (VNA) – Vietnamesestudents staged a performance opening an outdoor musical event in Sochi,Russia, on October 20, as part of the ongoing 19th World Festival of Youth andStudents.

The performers wearing ao dai (traditionalVietnamese dress) received loud applauses from the audience.

Since the early days of the festival, the studentshave run a Vietnamese space, which promotes the country’s signatures and goods,as well as provides information on Vietnam in Russian and English.

Lasting from October 15 to 22, the festivaldraws nearly 50,000 delegates, compared to the initial estimation of 20,000.

Up to 5,000 volunteers, including 314foreigners, were mobilised to support delegates.-VNA

Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Comm😼ittee

This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee.
