Vietnam successes in building Vietnamese human genome

National University (VNU), Hanoi  announced on January 16 that it has successfully built and analysed the genome of a Vietnamese human – a graphical representation of the genetic information shared by Vietnamese people.

The breakthrough was made by a research team led by PhD. Le Sy Vinh from the Technology University under VNU.

From analytical results, the Vietnamese human genome not only fitsthe standard genome, but also contains some new changes relating to itsstructure.

There are only about 20 countriesworldwide to successfully build a national genome, which greatly impactsmany different fields, including medicine, pharmacology, biotechnologyand anthropology, while promoting national economic development.-VNA

🌠 Vietnam launches six 4.0 technology training and talent networks

The networks bring together universities, research institutes and domestic and foreign businesses. Vietnam has issued many key policies to support semiconductor development, notably the Politburo’s Resolution 57 on science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. Other initiatives include the Semiconductor Industry Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2050, and the Human Resources Development Programme for the Semiconductor Industry.
