Vietnam will participate in a friendly futsal tournament in China as preparation for the regional championship next month.

Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - Vietnam will participate in a friendlyfutsal tournament in China as preparation for the regional championshipnext month.

They will compete against the Netherlands, Russia and the hostsat the CFA International Futsal Tournament from October 18 to23.

Among the participants, Russia are the 2016 World Cup firstrunners-up while the Netherland won the World Cup silver in 1989.

China’s best result was fourth place at the Asian championship in 2010. Vietnamwere the 2016 World Cup quarterfinalists. 

Following the Chinese event, Vietnam will take part in the ASEAN futsalchampionship from October 26 to November 3 in HCM City.-VNA
