Vietnam wins three golds at Int’l Math Olympiad

Vietnam has bagged three gold medals, two silvers and one bronze at the ongoing 55 th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) in South Africa.

The golds went to Nguyen The Toan fromHanoi,Tran Hong Quan from northern Thai Binh province and Pham TuanHuy from Ho Chi Minh City .

Vuong Nguyen Thuy Duong fromthe central city of Da Nang and Ho Quoc Dang Hung from Ho Chi MinhCity earned the silver medals while Nguyen Huy Tung from the northerncity of Hai Phong pocketed the bronze.

Taking place from July 3-13, the Olympiad has attracted 560 contestants from 101 countries and territories.

Vietnam ranked 10th in the medal tally./.
