Vietnamese, Chinese Party agencies’ cooperation applauded

Officials of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Communist Party of China have rejoiced at the practical outcomes in cooperation between the Communication and Education Commission and the Publicity Department.

Beijing (VNA) – Officials of the Communist Partyof Vietnam (CPV) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) have rejoiced at thepractical outcomes in cooperation between the Parties’ respective Communicationand Education Commission and the Publicity Department.

Head of the CPV Central Committee’sCommunication and Education Commission Vo Van Thuong met with head of the CPCCentral Committee’s Publicity Department Liu Qibao in Beijing on January 13.The meeting was part of an official visit to China by CPV General SecretaryNguyen Phu Trong.

They said their agencies’ cooperation has helpedto strengthen mutual understanding and trust between the two peoples andconsolidate a favourable social foundation for the expansion of the countries’relations.

The two sides have boosted exchanges andcooperation between Vietnamese and Chinese news agencies and press outlets soas to update their people on each country’s political, economic and socialsituation.

They have also enhanced collaboration inculture, education and people-to-people exchanges while sharing experience inthe Party building and theoretical work, the officials noted.

Efforts will be continued to foster the agencies’cooperation and discuss the focuses of communication collaboration and measuresto improve cooperation effectiveness in 2017, they added.

They also expressed their delight at theoutcomes of the talks between the Vietnamese and Chinese Party GeneralSecretaries as they are critical to orienting the cooperation between the twoParties and countries, serving as a foundation for their communicationcooperation.

At the meeting, the officials underlined theneed for closer ties between news agencies and press outlets of Vietnam andChina, experience exchange in managing information on the Internet, culturaland education cooperation, and youth exchanges, thereby promoting mutualunderstanding and reinforcing a favourable social foundation for the healthy,stable and long-term development of bilateral relations.

They also discussed the coordination inorganising the Parties’ 13th theoretical workshop, scheduled in China in 2017.

Also on January 13, Vietnamese Minister ofIndustry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh had a working session with Chinese Minister ofCommerce Gao Hucheng and head of China’s General Administration of QualitySupervision, Inspection and Quarantine Zhi Shuping.-VNA
