Vietnamese firm launches nutrition research institute in Sweden

HCM City(VNA) – The Vietnam Nutrition Food JSC (NutiFood) launched its NutiFoodNutrition Research Institute in Sweden (NNRIS) during a ceremony in HCM City onApril 14.

On the occasion, italso inked a communication agreement with the Ministry of Health (MoH) andstrategic cooperation deals with seven medical associations and fiveuniversities.

NutiFood Chairman TranThanh Hai said through the activities, the company hopes to work with leadingscientists and nutritionists of the world and apply European high standardsolutions nutrified to be compatible with physical conditions of Vietnamese people,in a bid to maximise their stature and intelligence.

He added that thenutrition research institute groups more than 50 leading experts in Vietnam andEurope and partners with major firms across the world like BASF of Germany, DuPontof the US, and DSM of Switzerland, along with Vietnamese medical associationsand universities.

Deputy Minister ofHealth Do Xuan Tuyen said that the MoH and NutiFood have joined hands in aprogramme to raise awareness of a fight against overweight and obesity amongVietnamese children for 2021-23./.

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
