Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam stands firmly in second place at the Asia Football Confederation Women’s U16 Qualifier after the𓆏ir second win on August 27 in Hanoi.
The host team defeated Iraq 3-0 in the second round match of Group D.
Iraqi midfielder Fatimah Qasim made his own goal just three minutes from the start. Ngan Thi Van Su then doubled it in the 26th mark, this being her third goal in the tournament.
Tran Thi My Thuong netted the third in the second half, with a closed-range finish.
In the other match, Australia beat Hong Kong 14-0 to top the ranking. Earlier, Uzbekistan tied Palestine 1-1.
In the next match on August 29, Vietnam will face Palestine, Iraq will see Australia and Hong Kong will meet Uzbekistan.-VNA

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
