Vietnamese investors receive Lao order

Leaders of the Vietnamese-invested Long Thanh-Vientiane Special Economic Zone (SEZ) have been awarded the Lao Order for National Development for their contributions to socio-economic development of Laos ’ Sekong province.
Leaders of the Vietnamese-invested Long Thanh-Vientiane Special EconomicZone (SEZ) have been awarded the Lao Order for National Development fortheir contributions to socio-economic development of Laos ’ Sekongprovince.

Phonphet Phiulavong, Vice Secretary ofthe Party Committee and Deputy Governor of southern Sekong province,presented the Order to Chairman of the Board of Directors Le Van Kiemand Deputy General Director Le Huy Hoang of the Long Thanh-Vientiane SEZon November 13.

Phiulavong spoke of the LongThanh-Vientiane SEZ’s grant of 1270,000 USD to help Sekong province’seconomic development and assist people in flood-hit areas.

The SEZ has also provided technical equipment to the provincialtelevision station to enable wider television connection of Sekong andother southern provinces.

The Lao official affirmed that peopleof Laos , especially those from Sekong province, are always gratefulto Vietnamese people and businesses for assisting them in building a newlife.

On behalf of the SEZ’s executives, Kiempromised to try his utmost to make investments in Laos most effective toaid social security in the host country and strengthen the specialsolidarity between the two countries./.VNA
