Hanoi (VNA)🃏 – A webinar was held on October 18 for Vietnamese and Lao legislators to exchange experience inbuilding the Law on Survey and Mapping, and the Law on National Border.
The event was part of acooperation agreement between the Vietnamese and Lao National Assemblies. Speakingat the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnamese NA’s Committee for Science,Technology and Environment Le Quang Huy said the Lao legislature is consideringthe issuance of the Law on Survey and Mapping, and the Law on National Border sothat its committees want to learn from Vietnam’s experience in the field.
Chairman ofthe Lao NA’s Committee for Foreign Affairs Sanya Praserth said the draft Law onSurvey and Mapping will be submitted to the second session of the Lao NA for consideration.
ﷺ He said he wanted to acquire theoretical and practical experience in thedrafting as well as Vietnam’s application of countries’ experience in thebuilding and enforcement of the law.
Participantsat the event discussed State policies on survey and mapping, process of toolregistration, and business conditions, among others, in the field.
♛ Vietnamese lawmakers also shared experience in designing regulations onnational border protection in Vietnam’s National Border Law, and those relatedto forces participating in safeguarding the national borders.
Sanya thankedthe Vietnamese NA for sharing experience in building and enforcing the law on nationalborder management and protection stressing that they provide important materials for Laosto continue fine-tuning its bill in the near future./.
