Vietnamese students win medals at Int’l Chemistry Olympiad

All four Vietnamese students won prizes at the 47th International Chemistry Olympiad which was held in Azerbaijan from July 20-29.

All four Vietnamese students won prizes at the 47th International Chemistry Olympiad which was held in Azerbaijan from July 20-29.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, Dinh Tuan Hoang from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School earned the gold medal.

Two silver medals were carried off by winners Pham Thai Ha from from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School and Tran Dinh Hieu from Bac Ninh High School for gifted students.

The bronze medal was awarded to Nguyen Thuy Hang from Hung Vuong High School in Phu Tho province.

The Vietnamese delegation stood at 8th place at the event that drew 294 students from 79 countries and territories.

On July 31, the ministry will hold a ceremony at the Noi Bai International Airport to honour the students.

Last year, Vietnamese students won two gold and t𓃲wo silver medals at the 46th competition which was held in Vietnam.-VNA
