Vietnamese successfully integrate into Czech society

Deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education Lam Thi Phuong Thanh has praised successes reaped by the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic during her trip to the country from November 21-23.

Prague (VNA) – Deputy head of the Party CentralCommittee’s Commission for Information and Education Lam Thi Phuong Thanh haspraised successes reaped by the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republicduring her trip to the country from November 21-23.

She expressed her hope that the community will integratemore deeply into the host society while preserving traditional language andculture.

Nguyen Duy Nhien, President of the Vietnamese Association inthe Czech Republic, said since its inception 17 years ago, the association hasencouraged the Vietnamese to learn the Czech language and study culture,custom, law and business models of the European country.

At the same time, the association has taught the mothertongue for Vietnamese children in the Czech Republic and maintained traditionalculture and custom among the community.

As many as 65,000 Vietnamese are living in the CzechRepublic./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
