Vietnamese wins silver in billiards event

Ngo Dinh Nai clinched a silver medal for Vietnam in the men’s billiards 1 cushion single event at the ongoing Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Incheon, the Republic of Korea (RoK), on July 1.

However Nai could find no way past Hwang Durkhee of the RoK in the final.

Earlier, Ma Minh Cam won a bronze medal in the same event. He lost to Durkhee in the semi-final.

In the e-sports event, Nguyen Van Le also brought home a bronze medalin the men’s Need for Speed discipline whilst in the League of Legendsbronze medal match, Vietnam lost to Chinese Taipei 2-0.

Twoother bronze medals on July 1 went to Truong Quoc hung in the men’sU75kg muay (kick-boxing) event and swimmer Hoang Quy Phuoc in the men’s100m butterfly.

Several Vietnamese muay martial artists also made it through to the final round.

Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat defeated Yaakub Mohd Ali Bin of Malaysia 5-0 inthe men’s overcame Yang Yang of China 4-1 in the men’s U54kg; and in thewomen’s U51kg, Bui Yen Ly defeated Lee Sun of the RoK.

In the women’s red snooker single round of 32, Tran Thi Truc Xinh was defeated by Huang Hsin of Chinese Taipei.
