Vietnamese workers in Thailand allowed to get work permits

Vietnamese migrant workers in Thailand are allowed to register for work permits in the country, according to an instruction that the Government of Thailand sent to its Ministry of Labour on January 18.​

Bangkok (VNA) - Vietnamese migrant workers in Thailandare allowed to register for work permits in the country, according to aninstruction that the Government of Thailand sent to its Ministry of Labour onJanuary 18. It instructed the Ministry of Labour to complete registration forwork permits for guest workers from Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar by June 30,2018. These three nations have signed labour exchange agreements with Thailand. It also said Vietnamese workers are allowed to register for workpermits in the country like those from the three nations, however, no specificinstructions were mentioned. According to the ministry, Vietnamese workers have permits to workin fishing and construction. There are no official agreements on other fields.Therefore, the country will only push granting permits for Vietnamese workersin these two fields. - VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
