Vietnam’s culture spotlighted in UK

The Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism and the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK are organising the “2009 Vietnamese Culture Days” in London, Britain from October 19-31.

Prince Andrew attended the opening ceremony which was held on October 19.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Haisaid Vietnam hopes to strengthen the friendship and multi-facetedcooperation with the UK.

As part of the Vietnamese Culture Week, Vietnamese artists will stage anumber of traditional art performances with songs, dances and music.

The event will also include an exhibition of Vietnamese contemporarypainters and the screening of three Vietnamese films including “Don’tburn”, “Pao’s story” and “Dark forest” at Cine Lumiere.

Vietnam and the UK have seen their cultural exchange flourish recentlythrough such activities as art exhibitions, concerts and film shows./.

Exhibition features President Ho Chi Minh as foun⛦der of Vietnam’s revolutionary press

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
