Vietravel-funded project lights up Hue’s Flag Tower
The Flag Tower (Ky dai Hue) in the Hue Imperial city of the central province of Thua Thien – Hue is being illuminated by a lighting system under a project funded by the tour service provider Vietravel.

Thua Thien – Hue (VNA) – The Flag Tower (Ky dai Hue) in the Hue ancient Imperial city of thecentral province of Thua Thien – Hue is being illuminated by a lighting system undera project funded by the tour serviceprovider Vietravel.
Launched on February 12, the project is part of activities to preserve andpromote the historical value of the tower.
Thelighting system was installed surrounding the historicalsite in a modern style, aiming to lure morevisitors to the city.
The Flag Tower, also called theKing’s Knight, consists of a three-storey tower 17 metres high and a flagpole37 metres in length. It was constructed under the Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945).
Thesite witnessed many importantly historical events of the nation and is apopular destination for visitors.
Vietravel plans to implement similar lighting projects in the city in the future.-VNA
The People's Committee of central Thua Thien - Hue province has given the nod to a three-year project on preservation and renovation of Ngo Mon (Noon Gate), an iconic symbol of the former royal city of Hue.
Colourful lanterns will light up Thang Long Imperial Citadel and the gates will open for the public to celebrate mid-autumn festival, beginning now and running until October 4 - the full moon day of the eighth lunar month.
Hundreds of domestic and foreign artists will stage stellar performances at a light festival held on Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street on December 31 to welcome the New Year 2018.
Through personal relationships or professional dealings, Chairman of Phuc Son Group Nguyen Van Hau gave a total of over 130 billion VND to local leaders in Vinh Phuc and Quang Ngai provinces.
