Viettel’s company joins global aerospace supply chain

M3 Communication Co., Ltd, a member of the military-run telecom giant Viettel, has officially become the first Vietnamese enterprise joining the global aerospace supply chain, according to UK-based Meggitt PLC.

Hanoi (VNA) - M3 Communication Co., Ltd, a member of the military-run telecom giant Viettel, has officially become the first Vietnameseenterprise joining the global aerospace supply chain, according to UK-basedMeggitt PLC.

Accordingly,M3 Communication will supply materials, components and equipment for MeggittPLC which specialises in researching, designing, developing, manufacturing andintegrating products in the fields of aerospace, defence and energy.

In order to be approved by Meggit as asupplier, M3 has developed a technologicalprocess and measurements to evaluate the quality of product samples (known asthe First Article Inspection Process). All products must satisfy extremelystrict requirements on material origin, tolerance, and surface treatment.

Viettel said determining research and high-tech industrial production asone of its four development pillars, and Viettel continues to cooperate withtechnology corporations in the world to promote production and export ofhigh-tech products./.

Vietnam has issued many key policies to support semiconductor development, notably the Politburo’s Resolution 57 on science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. Other initiatives include the Semiconductor Industry Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2050, and the Human Resources Development Programme for the Semiconductor Industry.
