VinaCapital invest 2 million USD in e-services

The DFJ VinaCapital Fund on Jan. 28 signed a contract with TS24 Company to become its strategic partner.

The fund will contribute 2 million USD tohelp the investors improve its data and management systems, and its humanresources.

It will also help diversify services, including taxdeclaration and payments on its Tax Online website.

The company will beable to prepare financial reports and deal with taxes on personal and corporateincome, value-added taxes, natural resources and special consumption.

TS24 general director Nguyen Phan Viet Thuy said he was confident in thepotential market of more than 10 million individuals with tax codes and another500,000 enterprises.

It has signed an agreement with the card companywith the card company DongA Bank VNBC for taxpayers to use cards issued by DongABank and other banks who join its ATM network for online payments.

DFJVinaCapital, a 32 million USD joint venture between the IT group Draper FisherJurvetson and VinaCapital, specialises in making investments in the internet,telecommunications and media businesses.

Apart from this fund,VinaCapital also manages three others, the Vietnam Opportunity Fund (VOF),VinaLand Ltd (VNL) and Vietnam Infrastructure (VNI), which are listed at theAlternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange./.

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
