VinFast Auto to join in Indonesia's largest auto show this month

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) maker VinFast Auto announced on July 8 that it will participate in the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024, the largest of its kind in Indonesia, which will take place from July 18-28.

VinFast, a member of Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup, said it will showcase a range of modern EVs at the expo, including the VF 5, VF e34, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9 models, covering segments from A-SUV to E-SUV. Among these, the VF 5 and VF e34 feature right-hand drive versions specifically for the Indonesian market. Test drives will be offered for these two models at the event.

CEO of VinFast Indonesia Temmy Wiradjaja said GIIAS 2024 is an opportunity for the company to bring its product lineup closer to Indonesian consumers, reaffirming its commitment to supporting Indonesia's journey towards greener transport.

Just months after launching its brand in the market, VinFast started selling the VF 5 and VF e34 electric cars, opened its first dealership stores, a𒁏nd announced plans to build an EV factory in this Southeast Asian count꧒ry./.
